Privacy policy
StratumView is a browser-based viewer for survey and CAD data, run from Far North Queensland, Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we don’t. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Your drawings are not collected
Files you open in StratumView (drawings, surfaces, point clouds, imagery and models) are read by your own browser on your own computer. They are not uploaded to our servers or anyone else’s. The same applies to PDFs, exports and client packages you create: they are made on your computer and saved there.
What we do collect
- Account details: your name, firm, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider), and your trial or subscription status.
- Saved projects: when you save a project to your account, we store its settings: the project title, which layers are on, the view, coordinate system, display settings, dimensions, section lines, drawn markups and their coordinates, and the names and sizes of the data files. Not the files themselves.
- Emails we send you: sign-up confirmations and password resets, and the record of having sent them.
We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don’t sell or share your information for marketing.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase stores accounts and saved projects and handles sign-in.
- Cloudflare hosts the StratumView website and app.
- Resend sends account emails.
These providers may store data outside Australia. They only process it to provide their service to us.
Stored in your browser
StratumView keeps your sign-in session and your display preferences (such as theme, fonts and dimension style) in your browser’s local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Access, correction and deletion
You can delete saved projects yourself in the app (Project menu, My projects). To get a copy of your information, correct it, or close your account and delete everything we hold, email reuben.heger@gmail.com. We’ll respond within 30 days.
