StratumView

Survey and design data, open in your browser.

StratumView lays 12d, DXF, LandXML, point clouds and orthophotos over each other in plan, 3D and cross section. Measure, dimension, print PDFs and hand clients a viewer of their own. The files never leave your computer.

What you can do with it

Built for surveyors, civil designers and the contractors and clients they share data with.

See everything together
Drop in surfaces, strings, point clouds and imagery from different programs. They line up on real coordinates, layer by layer, in plan or 3D.
Cut cross sections
Draw a line anywhere and get the section through every surface, string and point within the corridor, with chainage, RL and grade.
Measure and dimension
Snap to vertices and string crossings, lock to north/south or east/west with Shift, and keep dimensions on the drawing.
Print plans
Export plan and section PDFs to scale on A4 to A1, with your firm’s logo and title block.
Hand a viewer to your client
Package a project as a single file your client double-clicks. It opens offline, with your layers and view, and can’t import anything else.
Mark up and export
Draw points and lines on your own layers, with colours, line styles and weights, and export them to DXF or 12da.

Your drawings stay with you

StratumView reads your files inside your own browser. Drawings, surfaces and point clouds are never uploaded to us or anyone else.

Your account holds only what it needs:

  • your name, firm and email address, to sign you in;
  • saved project settings, such as layer choices, views, dimensions and markups, plus the names and sizes of the files they use, so a project reopens where you left it.

Read the privacy policy for the detail.

In beta

StratumView is being tested with working survey and civil projects. Measurements and plans it shows are indicative only, so always check them against your source data and design software.
